T.L. Owens
Thomas Lloyd Owens was born on September 14, 1891 in Ironwood, Michigan. Thomas was a caucasian male who was 6’1 and about 200 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He came from the town of Baker, Montana. Thomas was an auto salesman and a mechanic who worked for the auto company, L Price & Co. before he joined World War One. On June 5th, 1917 at the age of 26 Thomas registered to be in the First World War. At the time that he joined the war, Thomas was not married when he registered. When he came back from the war, Thomas brought back many items of memorabilia with him which he had displayed in the store, L Price & Co. When Thomas got back he became very instrumental in organizing the American Legion Post 35 in Baker and became the Post Commander. After the war was over he married and became self-employed. On April 27, 1942 he decided to join the Second World War at the age of 50.
